~ Shilajit (Mumijo) comes from the Himalayan, Caucasus, Altai, and Tibet Mountains where it naturally occurs. Shilajit is a natural substance that is made by the pressure of rocks compacting plant matter into a tar-like resin of variable consistency. Collected in the raw form and purified through a process of boiling and cleansing. It is known for it's powerful healing properties. It is used in Ayurveda, the traditional Indian system of medicine. It has been reported to contain at least 85 minerals in ionic form, as well as triterpenes, humid acid, and fulvic acid.
~Shilajit contains very rare amino acids, minerals, and fatty acids. It contains large numbers of minerals, six amino acids, natural acids, vitamin A, B, C, P (citrines), phospholipids, polyphenol complexes, and terpenoids. Trace elements are also present. Including cobalt, nickel, copper, zinc, magnesium, chrome, iron, and manganese. The color is dark chestnut and taste is mildly bitter.
